Updates as of 09/26/2008
Since first published in 1999, the Red Stars tables were the only thorough reference points for the advanced collectors. They remained practically unchanged until 2006, when mint related information first became available to us.
Now, the fundamental book on Red Stars has been released, which calls for modifications, as well.
However, we feel that we're more and more sinking into numismatics, where minor flaws of production process or technological variances (which, unlike in numismatics, are inevitable in producing hand crafted items in such huge quantities) are considered legit variations.
Hence, we simplified our standard issues table to fully reflect the mint production runs, yet only mention the possible differences unless they are indeed a significant change, which deserves to be noted.
